Preparing Yourself for Success
Finding time each day to sit down and plan out my next day’s activities has been huge in my success. A cliche phrase that we’ve all heard is “failing to prepare, is preparing to fail”. Y’all– that’s SO TRUE.
When I schedule each day, I feel so much more put together.
So organized.
Things flow so much easier.
I wake up each day, knowing exactly what I have outlined for each hour. I pull up my Google Calendar, which I can neatly organize into color coordinated sections.
Reminders are set so that I get a push notification on my phone. That way, I don’t miss anything. Because, we all know that in 2021, we all have a GAZILLLLLION daily to-do’s.
I always set the highest of priorities first. I do this to make SURE they get done before anything else. For example, my workouts will habitually come at 4:45am. Every single day.
Decide what your priorities are and time block your day, accordingly.
Do It For The Right Reasons
Make sure, whatever your reason for starting or continuing your fitness journey is, that your driving focus is YOU. Don’t allow it to be an external force such as an ex, someone who bullied you or anyone that you’re trying to get back at.
I’ll be covering this in another blog soon, that you should check out– My Biggest Secret: How to Find Your Continual Fire for Motivation — to ensure that you never rely on anyone else to be the fuel that keeps your fire burning.
Benefits Other than Appearance
If there’s anything that I could preach to everyone I want to help, it’s that there are limitless benefits to prioritizing your fitness and it’s more than just an external physical appearance.
There’s a key point that I touch on in the podcast, regarding advantages and differences of strength training and cardio training that I want everyone to pay attention to.
I won’t spoil it now, because I truly want you to hear every word I have to share in this podcast; however, once you start focusing on prioritizing fitness into your daily activities, you’ll notice how much better you feel overall.
You’ll realize the differences you feel in your posture, your endurance while climbing up three flights of stairs, the ability to keep up with your kids.
Friends, this is LIFE. CHANGING.
